Non-subsidised household LPG gas cylinders will be cheaper by Rs 100.50 cheaper from July 1, according to a release posted by Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). From tomorrow, non-subsidised LPG gas cylinders will be available for Rs 637 per cylinder.
Meanwhile, subsidised LPG will now come down to Rs 494.35 after the fresh rate revision.
The release also stated that the balance amount of Rs 142.65 per cylinder (subsidised) will now be borne by the central government. Following the move, the balance amount would be transferred to the customer's bank account after purchase of a refill, according to the release.
Earlier the price of non-subsidised domestic LPG cylinders was Rs 737.50 per cylinder. This is a welcome development for households who use LPG gas cylinders.
The press release issued by IOC said the decision to cut LPG rates was in view of softening prices in the international market and ideal dollar-rupee exchange rate.
"Price of Non-Subsidised LPG in Delhi will decrease by Rs 100.50 per cylinder from 1st July. Upfront cash payment by consumer of domestic LPG will reduce by Rs 100.50 per cylinder," Indian Oil Corporation, in a statement, said.
